No fee, and no costs, unless you recover.

Injury matters are handled on a contingency fee. The firm is paid a percentage of what you recover, and if there is no recovery, you owe no fee and no costs. Everything is set out in a written agreement before any work begins.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have a case?
That depends on whether someone else’s negligence caused your injury, what your injuries are, and what insurance is available. It’s a short conversation to find out, and it costs nothing.
What does it cost to hire the firm?
Nothing up front. Injury cases are handled on a contingency fee: the firm is paid a percentage of what you recover, and if there is no recovery, you owe no fee and no costs. Before you sign anything, you’ll receive the written fee agreement and the Florida Bar’s Statement of Client’s Rights.
What is the 14-day rule?
Under Florida’s no-fault law, you must get initial medical treatment within 14 days of a car accident for your personal injury protection (PIP) coverage to pay medical benefits. Miss that window and PIP medical benefits aren’t available — so get checked out promptly, even if you feel fine.
How long do I have to bring a claim?
For most Florida negligence claims — car accidents and slip-and-falls included — you generally have two years from the date of the accident to file a lawsuit. Wrongful death claims also have a two-year limit. Claims against a government agency come with extra notice requirements. Deadlines are strict, so call early.
The insurance company already called me. Should I talk to them?
Report the accident to your own insurance company — most policies require prompt notice. You don’t have to give a recorded statement to the other driver’s insurer, and anything you say can be used to limit your claim. Before you give a statement or sign anything, call us first.
